The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) has developed the Recertification Program to ensure that CHMMs maintain the highest professional standards and enhance their continued competence. The program requires that CHMMs participate in professional development activities and submit evidence of these activities on a periodic basis. CHMMs must earn seventeen (17) certification maintenance points (CMPs) over the course of a five-year cycle. Meeting these requirements is mandatory to maintain the CHMM certification. Recertification Reminder ... All CHMMs who were certified or last certified in 2001 are due to submit their recertification documentation, covering the years 2002-2006, to the Institute office during 2007, according to the following schedule: Last name begins with: Submit Documentation by: A-G .......................... May 31, 2007 H-N .......................... July 31, 2007 O-Z .......................... October 31, 2007
If you have not recertified on time and have not received an extension, please contact the IHMM by e-mail at recert@ihmm.org.
